Alex Li
Alex Li is an accomplished law enforcement leader, an active father of two, and someone who is constantly involved in serving his community.
Alex is a Sergeant with the Toronto Police Service (TPS). He currently is a frontline supervisor, and oversees daily responsibilities and duties of police officers in the Primary Response Unit. He is currently in his 19th year with the organization, having a diverse policing experience in Primary Response, Community Response, Specialized Investigations, Community Relations, Crime Prevention, and most notably was the Spokesperson for the TPS. His responsibilities include crisis communications, public speaking, on-camera media interviews, internal/external communications, and to update/maintain the TPS corporate social media presence & digital footprint.
He has been a prominent key note speaker at various event, most recently at the P World Conference in Ottawa, where he addressed various top level government officials and private sector executives on the importance of the role of a Spokesperson, and the effective execution of crisis communications.
He is a graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Degree in Criminology/Policing, as well as having completed a post-graduate certificate program with Cornell University – SC Johnson College of Business in Corporate Communications.
