Crystal Arnold
Crystal, born in Kitchener and raised in Guelph, has always had a passion for helping others, even from a young age. Her relationships with individuals with exceptionalities as a child fueled her commitment to making a positive impact on others’ lives and promoting inclusivity.
In 2014 she obtained her Honours Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation from Seneca King Campus, and worked in the retirement industry from 2013-2021, briefly working with at-risk seniors in Halton Region from 2015-2016.
In 2021, Crystal heard about Jake’s House from Diana Simpson, whom she previously worked in retirement with. Inspired by the organization and excited for a change, Crystal embraced a new role at Jake’s House Community Residences in Lucan, aiding new residents and their families throughout the move-in process and facilitating meaningful activities. In April 2023, Crystal accepted the role of Employment Program Manager at Jake’s House Head Office and is now the Associate Director of the Employment Training Program.
Crystal’s hobbies include spending time with loved ones, cooking, attending concerts, listening to podcasts, and watching movies. Crystal also has a passion for animals and ran her own pet-sitting business from 2018 to 2020, which unfortunately came to an end due to Covid.
