Len D’elia, Chairman, Jake’s House
Len D’Elia not only brings great business expertise and financial acumen to the Jake’s House board, but also board leadership experience, a passion for community involvement, and a commitment to support families living with autism.
Generous with his time and knowledge, Len has found several ways to give back. In addition to being a Jake’s House Board Member, Len is the Past Chair of Professional Engineers Ontario – Oakville Chapter, a role in which he works closely with the Oakville Chamber of Commerce, planning community events; and he volunteers for the Oakville United Way.
Professionally, Len D’Elia has several years of senior financial services experience, which he applies in his role as Private Banker, delivering personalized, discrete banking, credit and financial counsel to select clients and their families in Oakville. As a dedicated Private Banker, Len creates sophisticated banking packages and a full suite of personalized credit solutions for his clients and their families, drawing on other experts to assist with investments, commercial banking, estate and tax planning as needed. To ensure personalized service and attention to detail, Len works with a limited number of clients and their families focusing on long-term relationships—and he brings this similar approach to developing and valuing quality connections to Jake’s House.
Previously, Len was the Regional Director, Credit Structures for Private Banking in Southwestern Ontario, and gained extensive commercial banking experience at RBC, where he helped clients grow in a collaborative environment underpinned by trust. Before joining RBC, Len worked at Arcelor Mittal as a Senior Program Manager supporting the automotive industry for over a decade. He is a seasoned professional who leverages his breadth of experience and proven expertise in financial services to meet the needs of families. Len obtained his Engineering Degree from McMaster University and an MBA from the University of Windsor.
Married for over 15 years, Len enjoys spending his leisure time with family and friends, and is a well-informed, responsible citizen. Alarmed by the prevalence rate—1 in 66 Canadian children being affected by autism, Len is determined to contribute to the Jake’s House mission with his financial knowledge, his leadership skills, his family values and his deep compassion.
